Sources: Chelsea make ‘huge’ Moises Caicedo decision after bust-up
Chelsea have been left perplexed by Moises Caicedo after dropping his agent amid interest from Real Madrid.
Sources told Football Insider on 30 September that Real Madrid are lining up a £200million double swoop for Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
Xabi Alonso is eager to strengthen his midfield with Chelsea valuing Caicedo at more than £115m.
Coincidentally, amid the hungry pursuit of los Blancos, the Ecuadorian has parted with his agent, leaving his Blues future up in the air.

Caicedo commotion with agent not a concern for Chelsea
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Enzo Maresca sees the ex-Brighton prodigy as part of the long-term project at Stamford Bridge despite the public scuffle with his agent.
The 23-year-old joined back in August 2023 and, after a difficult start, has become one of the best midfielders in world football.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast over Chelsea’s stance on the commotion, I explained: “I don’t think it’ll have any immediate impact on Caicedo‘s future.

“Obviously, maybe he’s looking after his own personal things if he is changing agents or whatever.
“Chelsea are very relaxed about the situation. They don’t think any upheaval on changing agents will have any effect on his long-term future at Stamford Bridge. He’s under contract until 2031.
“He’s a key man and ends up in Maresca’s plans as well. He’s been arguably Chelsea’s best player this season.
“They saw him as being key for Chelsea going forward in the future. That hasn’t changed.

“It would take a huge, big money offer to even convince Chelsea to let Moises Caicedo go. But as I said, he’s so important to them.
“Chelsea aren’t even considering that and the player is happy at Chelsea, there’s no doubt about that.
“I don’t think any of this stuff off the pitch will have any influence on what happens to him on the pitch and it won’t change Chelsea’s stance on him either.”
Chelsea continue to deter Real Madrid’s advances for Enzo Fernandez
Sources told Football Insider that Real Madrid are ramping up their interest in Fernandez.

The Spanish giants have been long-term admirers of the Argentine and the Blues will need to act fast to prevent their prized midfielder leaving.
The ex-Benfica magician joined in January 2023 and, similar to Caicedo, had a period of adjustment before he started to hit his stride.
Fortunately, the number eight is contracted until June 2032, however, with the financial might of Real Madrid, a monster bid can never be ruled out.
