Sources: Crystal Palace in hunt for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as Man United line up '£50m'-valued replacement

Crystal Palace are interested in signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Man United this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Palace are one of the clubs monitoring Wan-Bissaka as United chase a new right-back signing in the summer.

The 25-year-old’s current deal at Old Trafford runs until 2025 but Football Insider revealed (22 February) that he is giving serious thought to quitting at the end of the season.

The defender has had a resurgence under Erik ten Hag in recent weeks, filling in for the injured Diogo Dalot, and had started 12 straight games in all competitions up until Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.

The former Palace man was on the bench for the 2-0 Cup win over Newcastle United.

United are exploring the option of bringing in another right-back in the summer.

On Saturday (25 February), sources told this site that the Red Devils are plotting a move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong who is valued at between £40-50million.

The former Celtic defender is happy in Germany but is believed to be keen on a move to an English giant that is competing in the Champions League.

The 22-year-old has made 30 appearances for the German side this season and has scored five goals and provided seven assists in those outings – a far superior record to Trent Alexander-Arnold among others (three goals and three assists from 27 games).

First choice right-back at United Diogo Dalot is close to agreeing a new deal at Old Trafford and has become a key figure for Erik ten Hag this season.
