Sources: Danny Ings update at West Ham as new striker wanted
West Ham striker Danny Ings is unlikely to leave the club this summer despite their search for a new striker, sources have told Football Insider.
Irons boss David Moyes is keen to add extra firepower in the off-season despite moving for Ings, 30, and Gianluca Scamacca, 24, in the 2022-23 campaign.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (15 May) that West Ham are among the Premier League sides regularly scouting Strasbourg striker Habib Diallo.
Diallo has notched 20 Ligue 1 goals this term and Irons scouts were in attendance as he bagged a brace against Nice on Saturday (13 May).
The Senegal international is out of contract at the French club in June 2025.
Meanwhile, Ings has struggled to nail down a regular starting berth since joining West Ham from Aston Villa for a reported fee of around £15million in January.
The England international has started seven games for the Irons amid 18 appearances in total, scoring three goals.
He signed a two-and-a-half-year contract when he arrived at the London Stadium, which earns him a reported £120,000-a-week.
Ings has notched 70 goals and 19 assists across 203 Premier League games in spells with the Irons, Aston Villa, Southampton, Liverpool and Burnley.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (15 May) that West Ham striker Michail Antonio could pursue a summer exit in the search for more regular first-team football.

Antonio almost left in the January window but Moyes intervened to keep him at the club.
He has proven to be a key part of the Irons side in the second half of the 2022-23 campaign and scored a crucial winner in the first leg of the Europa Conference League semi-final against AZ Alkmaar last week (11 May).
