Sources: Danny Rohl close to being appointed Rangers manager after dramatic twist
Danny Rohl is in advanced talks to be the new Rangers manager, sources have told Football Insider.
Rohl pulled out of the race to replace Russell Martin last week after seemingly being seen as not the first choice of the Ibrox board.
But, in a dramatic new development, the 36-year-old German is now the firm frontrunner to take over as the Rangers manager.
Kevin Muscat had verbally agreed a deal in principle before talks collapsed on Sunday.

Danny Rohl to take over at Ibrox
Rohl has been out of work since he left Sheffield Wednesday over the summer.
The German manager was considered by Rangers back in May, before they eventually confirmed the appointment of Martin.
Currently, the Gers sit sixth in the Scottish Premiership, already 13 points adrift of table-topping Hearts.
Rohl will take over a Rangers side who have won just one league game all season, with the players seemingly devoid of all confidence.
Kevin Muscat the latest candidate to leave the race
Muscat is far from the only candidate who has dropped out of the Rangers managerial race over the past two weeks.
Martin was sacked by the club following a 1-1 draw away to Falkirk before the international break, and chaos has ensued since.

Both Sean Dyche and Steven Gerrard rejected the chance to take over at Ibrox, with whispers of discontent at the recruitment strategy.
Then, just as it had looked as if Rangers had finally secured their man in Muscat, before talks broke down with the Australian.
The club have now turned back to Rohl, and it seems as if they will at last end a controversial and damaging managerial saga.
