Sources: David Moyes now willing to sell West Ham star he’s a ‘big fan’ of

West Ham could be willing to let striker Danny Ings leave the club if the right offer arrives in the upcoming January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The England international, 31, has slipped down the pecking order at the London Stadium so far this season.

It is believed clubs both at the bottom of the Premier League and at the top of the Championship are monitoring his situation ahead of the new year.

Such sides feel Ings could prove the difference in the second half of the season as they look to avoid relegation and gain promotion respectively.

West Ham could allow him to move on in the winter window – despite a well-placed source telling Football Insider that David Moyes is a “big fan” of the forward.

Ings has turned out 15 times across all competitions so far in the 2023-24 campaign but is yet to find the net in the new season.

He joined the Irons for a reported £15million from Aston Villa in January but has managed just three goals in 37 games since then.

The 31-year-old has started in just 12 of those outings and is behind the likes of Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen in Moyes’ pecking order.

And Ings’ action could be limited even further should West Ham land their priority target in January.

West Ham, Jarrod Bowen

Football Insider revealed on Friday (15 December) that a new striker is the top priority for Moyes’ side after they allowed Gianluca Scamacca to leave without a replacement in the summer.

West Ham have advanced to the knockout stages of the Europa League and sit ninth in the Premier League.

In other news, Saudi clubs now want to sign West Ham star in January.
