Sources: David Moyes stance on new Lukasz Fabianski-West Ham deal revealed
West Ham boss David Moyes is keen to keep goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski at the club past this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The 38-year-old shot-stopper is out of contract in June – but the Irons have the option to activate a 12-month extension clause in his current deal.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (17 April) that West Ham and Fabianski are set to discuss a potential extension in the off-season.
A well-placed Irons source has now told this site that Moyes is ready to green-light a new deal as long as the former Poland international can remain fit.
Fabianski has missed only two Premier League fixtures this season, with a facial injury forcing him out of the side for games against Brighton and Aston Villa in March.
However, he has had a history of fitness issues and missed almost 20 matches with a recurring hip injury in the 2019-20 season.
The shot-stopper has made 29 appearances across all competitions for West Ham in the 2022-23 campaign, conceding 34 goals and keeping nine clean sheets.
He joined the club in 2018 and earns a reported wage of £65,000-a-week at the London Stadium.
The veteran has racked up a total of 344 Premier League appearances after spells at West Ham, Swansea and Arsenal.
Back-up goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has been trusted between the sticks in European and cup competitions this season.

Areola, who cost a reported fee of £7.75million when he was signed permanently in 2022, is yet to surpass Fabianski in the pecking order despite spells at European giants Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
West Ham sit 15th in the Premier League but are just four points above the drop zone with eight games left to play this season.
In other news, West Ham have agreed near-£2m fee for defender.
