Sources: Doncaster Rovers agree deal to sign Bolton Wanderers star Conor Carty
Bolton Wanderers forward Conor Carty has agreed a loan move to Doncaster Rovers, sources have told Football Insider.
Carty, 21, has only recently returned to Bolton after a successful loan spell at Irish side St Patrick’s Athletic.
While with the Irish club, the young forward helped them win the FAI Cup and also played in both legs of their Europa Conference League qualifier against F91 Dudelange.

Republic of Ireland Under-21s international Carty is on the fringes of the first-team at Bolton and the League One hopefuls are happy to send him out on loan to get regular first-team action.
Carty joined Bolton in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer from Wolves and he scored on his first-team debut against Tranmere.
He has a total of five appearances for Bolton during his time at the League One outfit.
Despite his promising debut, Carty has failed to climb ahead of striker duo Victor Adeboyejo and Dion Charles in the pecking order.
Carty is now set to complete a move to Doncaster who find themselves tangled in a relegation battle in League Two.
After 23 league matches, Rovers sit on 24 points – just one ahead of both Salford and Colchester United below.

Only Forest Green and Gillingham have scored fewer goals than Rovers in the league this season, with manager Grant McCann desperate to add more firepower to his squad in January.
Carty will join a striking department that includes Joe Ironside and Luke Molyneux as they look to secure safety in League Two this season.
