Sources; Exeter City, Cambridge and Cheltenham submit offers for Stevenage star

Stevenage have rejected a bid of £150,000 from Exeter City for striker Aaron Pressley, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed that Stevenage could agree a fee of £200,000 with add-ons for the forward to leave the Lamex Stadium this month.

Well-placed sources have also told Football Insider that Cambridge and Cheltenham have made offers to bring him in on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old has made 19 appearances for Stevenage this season across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing one assist.

He began his career at the academies of Hearts and Aston Villa before moving to Brentford in 2020, where he made three senior appearances.

Pressley was then sent out on loan to AFC Wimbledon and Accrington Stanley during his time in West London before moving to the Boro permanently in 2023.

He has made nine starts in the third tier this season and last made Steve Evans’ starting line-up in their 1-0 win against Shrewsbury Town on 13 January.

The Scotsman joined Stevenage in the summer on a two-year deal with an option to extend for a further year.

He thrived during his loan spell at Accrington Stanley last season where he bagged eight goals and one assist across 27 appearances.
