Sources: Grealish joining Man City from Aston Villa today - but initial fee far lower than reported
Jack Grealish is undergoing a Man City medical today after Aston Villa accepted their bid, Football Insider has learned.
But the fee being paid for the Villa skipper will initially be fair less than the £100million being reported by multiple outlets.
A Villa source has told Football Insider that Grealish has been given the green light to complete a move to City today.
The club will put the England international through extensive medical tests and finalise a British-record transfer.
But the source added that the £100m fee is made up of a substantial amount of performance-related add-ons.
The initial cost to City is believed to be £75m rising by a further £25m based on success.

Villa have decided not to stand in the way of Grealish, who has long had his heart set on a move to Pep Guardiola’s side.
Football Insider revealed on 23rd July that the Villa captain had already agreed a “huge” contract with City and updated on 28th July that he would be joining the champions this week.
The Midlands giants tried to keep hold of their talisman with the offer of a double-your-money contract.
But he has returned from his post-Euros break to complete the move from his boyhood club.
The player is ambitious and wants to play regularly in the Champions League as well as develop his game under Guardiola.
The Villa skipper signed a new five-year contract last September that runs until the summer of 2025.
