Sources: Harry Kane talks expected after Thomas Frank’s Tottenham confession
Harry Kane has flirted with the idea of going back to Tottenham as he continues to flourish at Bayern Munich.
Sources told Football Insider that Tottenham were planning a dramatic attempt to re-sign Kane from Bayern Munich.
Thomas Frank revealed he would welcome Kane returning to Tottenham to come back to finally beat Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal record.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness exclusively told Football Insider that Tottenham is the only option for Kane if he wants to return to the Premier League.

Bayern Munich to open Harry Kane contract talks after Tottenham’s intense interest
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the Bavarian side are hell-bent on retaining their ruthless finisher.
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Kane wouldn’t return to the Premier League unless it’s in a situation where Tottenham are under new ownership which still remains up in the air.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “It’s probably more unlikely than it seemed a few weeks ago when we had Thomas Frank publicly admitting he would love Harry Kane to come back to the club.

“Harry Kane, he’s come out now and said he’s ready to commit his long-term future to Bayern Munich. He is ready to sit down and discuss a contract extension at the Allianz Arena.
“As you said, he’s got two years, just under two years to run on his contract, although there is a release clause in there which activates next summer which would take it down from £67million to around £56m, which would be a bargain.
“But I think Bayern Munich are now ready to try and take away the possibility of that release clause of losing him and offering him a new long-term deal.
“Look, how do you replace somebody like that? That’s probably what Bayern Munich are thinking because it ain’t going to be cheap to try and replace Harry Kane because he has guaranteed goals for Bayern Munich as well.

“With Harry Kane declaring that he’s happy in Germany and happy at Bayern Munich, it does really open up the door for Bayern to try and sit down and discuss a fresh deal with Harry Kane to try and pledge his long-term future to the club.
“So a lot of signs seem to point in that Kane’s happy with Bayern and Bayern are obviously happy with Harry Kane as well.
“If it can come to an agreement, I think it could be a win-win for all parties if he agrees a new contract.”
Ivan Toney offers Kane alternative for Tottenham
If the Lilywhites are set to be priced out by the Englishman signing a new contract in Germany, then Frank will need to widen his striker search.

Wyness told Football Insider that there is a 50/50 chance of Ivan Toney heading to Tottenham in January.
The former Brentford striker left for Saudi Arabia back in August 2024 and a return to the English top-flight continues to remain on the cards.
Dominic Solanke’s injury and Randal Kolo Muani’s lack of game time suggests Spurs may dip into the transfer market to bolster their frontline.
