Sources: ‘It’s very possible’ Arsenal could now complete two £60m+ signings
Arsenal could complete a double deal for Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Mikel Arteta is eager to improve his midfield department ahead of the 2023/24 season and could complete two marquee signings after coming close to winning the Premier League title.
It is understood that Rice remains the first-choice target for the Gunners, but they have also registered interest in Brighton star Caicedo.
While it remains likely that only one midfielder will be signed by the North London side, a source told Football Insider that “it’s very possible” that both Rice and Caicedo could end up at The Emirates in the upcoming window.
Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (17 May) that Arsenal are set to submit an opening £85million bid for Rice.
West Ham boss David Moyes admitted that there is a “good chance” that Rice will leave the London club this season.
The England international has frequently spoken about his goal to play in the Champions League, and Arsenal will return to the European competition for the first time in six years next season.
It is understood that the Gunners lead the race for Rice, but also face competition from Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City.

However, Arsenal are also favourites to land a deal for Caicedo this summer after having their January bid for the 21-year-old rejected.
Arsenal are now in pole position to sign £70-80m rated Caicedo after Brighton signed a natural replacement in Mahmoud Dahoud, this site’s sources revealed.
