Sources: Karl Darlow agrees three-year Leeds United deal
Karl Darlow is set to sign a three-year deal at Leeds United after agreeing the terms of a move, sources have told Football Insider.
Darlow is closing on a move from Newcastle United to Elland Road and will put pen to paper on a contract running until 2026.
On Wednesday (26 July), Football Insider revealed that Leeds have agreed a deal in principle for the 32-year-old to join them on a permanent basis.
The Whites are hopeful of wrapping up a deal for the goalkeeper by the end of the week ahead of their new season starting on 4 August.
Darlow’s current contract at St James’ Park runs until 2025 but he spent the second half of last term on loan at Hull City.
The Englishman made 12 appearances for Hull during his four month stint in the Championship and kept five clean sheets in those outings.
During his time at Newcastle, Darlow racked up 100 appearances across all competitions.
Leeds have already lost goalkeeper Joel Robles this summer following the expiration of his contract and he has joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Qadsiah.
Football Insider revealed last month (25 June) that the Yorkshire club are willing to listen to offers of around £30million for current shot stopper Illan Meslier.

Darlow will become new boss Daniel Farke’s second official signing after Ethan Ampadu joined from Chelsea earlier this month.
