Sources: Leeds plan for recalling Sinisterra revealed

Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra is expected to stay in exile until his future is resolved, sources have told Football Insider.

The 24-year-old has missed recent games against Birmingham and West Brom – and is training away from the first-team group at the Whites’ Thorp Arch training base.

Sinisterra is keen to leave Leeds before the transfer deadline on 1 September following their relegation from the Premier League.

Leeds face table-topping Ipswich and Salford City before that cut-off – but the winger is not expected to feature in either game.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (21 August) that Brentford are ready to hand the Sinisterra the chance to return to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, it is believed former club Feyenoord and Ligue 1 outfit Nice are also ready to swoop for the Colombia international.

Everton target Wilfried Gnonto and Helder Costa are also training away from the first team at present.

Leeds have already lost several stars since dropping down to the Championship – with a big chunk of their squad leaving on loan deals.

However, Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (22 August) that the Whites are unlikely to accept a loan offer for Sinisterra in the final days of the window.

He joined the Yorkshire giants from Feyenoord for a reported fee of £21million just last summer (2022).

The winger managed seven goals and one assist in just over 1000 minutes of football in the 2022-23 campaign as Leeds were relegated from the Premier League.

Sinisterra, 24, is under contract at Elland Road until June 2027.
