
Sources: Leeds United agree Crysencio Summerville deal
Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville has agreed a new contract, sources have told Football Insider.
This site revealed last week (27 July) that the winger, 20, was in advanced talks over a new deal.
Now, a full agreement is in place with Summerville following a breakthrough in negotiations.
An announcement over the contract extension is expected to be made this week.
Leeds chiefs have been impressed by Summerville’s development since his arrival from Feyenoord in the summer of 2020.
His current contract expires in June 2023.
Summerville made six appearances in the Premier League last season off the bench after impressing for the club’s Under-23s.
He has notched 13 goals and eight assists in 27 total outings for the club’s Under 23 side.
His nine senior Leeds appearances have so far failed to yield any goal contributions in 202 total minutes of action.
Summerville joined the Whites from Feyenoord in September 2020 after loan spells in at FC Dordrecht and ADO Den Haag.
The Rotterdam-born ace could make his first league start for Leeds United this term following the big-money departure of Raphinha to Barcelona.
Former Feyenoord star Luis Sinisterra has been drafted in as a replacement, but the Colombian is primarily a left-sided winger.

Summerville has featured among the substitutes often during pre-season for Leeds United and could reprise that role when the Premier League season gets underway.
The Whites face Wolves in their first game of the 2022-23 campaign on 6 August.
