Leeds United deal for Weston McKennie facing collapse
Leeds United will see their Weston McKennie deal with Juventus collapse this summer if they are relegated from the Premier League, sources have told Football Insider.
The 24-year-old moved to Elland Road in the January window after the Whites struck a loan deal with the Serie A giants which included a buy option of £30million.
The Yorkshire club are big admirers of the United States international but understand that it would be financially impossible to keep obtain him and maintain his wages if the club was demoted to the Championship.

McKennie is reported to be on around £3.7million per year at Leeds, putting him among the club’s top earners.
Leeds currently sit 19th in the Premier League table, and relegation this season would likely see a number of players leave Elland Road alongside McKennie.
Football Insider revealed on Saturday (11 March) that Robin Koch, Illan Meslier and Jack Harrison will all exit Leeds this summer if they are relegated.
McKennie signed under compatriot Jesse Marsch in January but only played once under the 49-year-old before he was sacked by the Leeds hierarchy.

He has since tallied up eight appearances for the Whites across all competitions but is yet to register a goal or assist for the club.
If Leeds do survive the drop this season, it is understood that they will trigger the £30million option to sign McKennie permanently this summer.
