Sources: Man City ‘ready to pounce’ and sign Jude Bellingham as record bid prepared
Man City are ready and waiting to submit a transfer offer for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham, sources have told Football Insider.
The Premier League champions have made the 19-year-old central midfielder a top target this summer and are ready to pounce and submit a bid once given the green light.
City are currently waiting on Bellingham‘s final transfer decision, with the teenager facing an abundance of options at the end of the season.
Should he decide on a move away, Real Madrid and City are considered the two frontrunners to sign him after Liverpool dropped out of the race earlier this week.
Football Insider sources revealed on Friday (14 April) that Man City are ‘very confident’ that they lead the race for Bellingham this summer.
City are prepared to offer a financial package to Dortmund worth well over £100million, and they don’t believe Madrid or any other European clubs are financially prepared to offer such a deal.
However, Bellingham hasn’t ruled out staying in Germany for another year to continue his development and then make a major move next summer.
It is understood that Dortmund have been in negotiations with Bellingham over a new contract, and a deal remains on the table for Bellingham should he choose to extend his stay.

Bellingham has been a key player for the German giants and could end the season with a league title to his name.
He has scored 10 goals and assisted seven times in 38 appearances which has helped Dortmund climb to second in the Bundesliga table, just two points behind arch-rivals Bayern Munich.
