Sources: Man City to reject all Arsenal offers

Man City will not sell any more first-team stars to Arsenal, sources have told Football Insider.

The Londoners bought Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko from the Premier League champions during the summer window.

Pep Guardiola gave the green light for both stars to leave after securing deals for replacements.

Arsenal signed Jesus in a £45million deal and Zinchenko later joined for £30million plus £2million of add-ons.

But questions are being asked at City about why they allowed two first-teamers to join a rival who are now their biggest competition to win the title.

It is now believed that Guardiola’s side will reject any potential further offers from Arsenal for players who would go straight into their team.

The Gunners lead City by five points atop the Premier League after playing 14 times each – with Newcastle United trailing the London side by seven points in third place.

The two sides are yet to meet this term after their October meeting was postponed due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Jesus has established himself as a firm fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium after notching five goals and seven assists this season – although he is currently on a six-match barren spell.

Meanwhile, Zinchenko has also proved a worthy addition at left-back despite suffering a number of injury problems.

Historically, the flow of signings has been reversed – with Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna, Kolo Toure, and Emmanuel Adebayor all joining City from Arsenal between 2009 and 2014.

The Gunners get their Premier League title challenge back underway against West Ham on Boxing Day, while City take on Leeds United on 28 December.
