Sources: Man United defender Devine agrees to join Walsall
Walsall have agreed to sign Man United defender Reece Devine on loan, Football Insider understands.
This site broke the news on Wednesday (26 January) that the League Two minnows were working on a deal for the left-back, 20.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that terms have now been settled between United and Walsall for Devine to transfer for the rest of the season.
The deal is now expected to be completed soon, and well ahead of Monday night’s transfer cut-off.
It comes after United recalled Devine earlier this month from his loan spell at St Johnstone, where he spent the first half of the season.
Devine made 10 appearances across all competitions for the Scottish Premiership outfit, including three games in Europe.
He made his European debut in Europa League qualifying as Callum Davidson’s side held Galatasaray to a famous 1-1 draw out in Turkey.
In the Scottish Premiership, he managed just four starts despite the Saints’ poor form.
Since his return to Old Trafford, the Stourbridge-born ace has not featured for the Premier League giants’ Under-23s side.
Devine began his youth career at Wolves before moving to Man City and then made the switch as a 16-year-old to United in August 2018.

Walsall have already bolstered their defensive ranks this month with the arrival of centre-back Donervon Daniels, which was completed on Tuesday.
The west Midlands-based club currently sit 17th in League Two, 10 points above the relegation zone.
