Sources: Man United pay Jadon Sancho £150,000-a-week to leave as brand new loan-to-buy details revealed

Borussia Dortmund will pay around 40 per cent of Jadon Sancho’s £250,000-a-week wages during his loan spell from Man United, sources have told Football Insider.

As revealed by Football Insider early on Thursday (4 January), the Englishman has headed to Dortmund’s training camp to re-join his former club on loan for the rest of the season.

He will then link up with the German giants at their training camp in Marbella next week as he looks to get his career back on track.

It is believed that Dortmund have agreed an option to buy when the loan expires that is set at around £26million.

They will pay around £100,000-a-week of Sancho’s wages during his spell, with Man United covering the remainder.

Sancho has not made a single appearance for Man United since August and has been ordered to train away from the first team after a bust-up with manager Erik ten Hag.

The former Ajax man revealed in a press conference that Sancho was not applying himself to an appropriate standard during training.

Sancho quickly refuted this claim on social media, and his failure to apologise to ten Hag has seen him axed from the team altogether.

The former Man City academy ace made three appearances this season before his expulsion from the squad – all from the bench in United’s opening three Premier League games.

The 23-year-old has scored just 12 goals and provided 6 assists across 82 outings since his reported £73million move from Dortmund in the summer of 2021.

Man United are eighth in the Premier League after their 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest on Saturday (30 December) and next face Wigan Athletic away in the FA Cup on Monday night (8 January).
