Sources: Man United plot double swoop - ready to pay £143m
Man United are preparing to swoop for Napoli duo Victor Osimhen and Kim Min-Jae this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Red Devils are in the market for a new centre-back and striker this summer, and Erik ten Hag is a big admirer of both Napoli stars.
The Serie A giants have been in great form this season and command an 18-point lead in their division while also reaching the Champions League quarter-finals.
United understand that Osimhen would cost upwards of £100million given his superb form for the Italian outfit this season, while Kim’s contract has an inviting clause for bidders.
It is understood that there is a release clause worth £43million in Kim’s contract that will run for two weeks in July.
Napoli are desperate to not lose both players in the same window but are aware that they may have their hand forced if the correct bids arrive in the summer.
Osimhen has been a standout player across Europe this season, with the 24-year-old Nigerian striker scoring 23 goals across 28 appearances this season, including four in five Champions League games.
Football Insider sources revealed earlier this month (5 March) that Osimhen tops a four-striker shortlist at Man United that includes Harry Kane, Tammy Abraham and Benjamin Sesko as other options.
As for Kim, United have collected several scouting reports on the 26-year-old defender and all have come back extremely positive.
He has been made the club’s first-choice defensive target this summer after helping Napoli to concede just 16 goals in 26 league matches.
