
Sources: Man United reach full agreement over Jack Butland deal as new details emerge
Man United have agreed to sign Jack Butland from Crystal Palace and he will undergo a Thursday medical, sources have told Football Insider.
The 29-year-old is heading to Old Trafford on a loan-to-buy deal.
It is believed Butland has agreed a six-month loan that includes a year option for the deal to become permanent in the summer.
He is out of contract at Palace at the end of the season and they have granted permission for him to head to United to finalise the move.
United have swooped for Butland to provide cover for number one David de Gea after Martin Dubravka cut short his loan stay from Newcastle United earlier this month.
He is an experienced campaigner with 87 Premier League appearances, nine England caps and a CV that includes spells at Palace and Leeds United, as well as Stoke City and Birmingham City.
Butland is yet to make an appearance for Palace this season having spent most of the campaign out with a fractured finger – but deputised for Vicente Guaita on nine occasions last term.
First-choice Man United star David de Gea has publicly revealed that he is expecting to extend his Old Trafford stay.
The former Spain international, who is out of contract in June, has kept eight clean sheets in 17 Premier League outings this season.
