Sources: New West Ham January priority signing revealed
A new striker is the top priority for West Ham as the January transfer window approaches, sources have told Football Insider.
Irons boss David Moyes is keen to bring more attacking reinforcements to the club in the new year despite a strong start to the new campaign.
Michail Antonio is currently out with a knee injury, while fellow out-and-out centre-forward Danny Ings has fallen down the pecking order at the London Stadium since the start of the 2023-24 season.

Jarrod Bowen, who primarily plays on the right flank, has been utilised as a lone front man at times by Moyes this season.
19-year-old Divin Mubama has made seven appearances across all competitions this term but is yet to find the net for the Irons at senior level in the 2023-24 campaign.
It is believed a new option is now at the top of the target list for West Ham in January – but the club acknowledge it will be tough to land their top targets mid-season.
Moyes, the recruitment team and chairman David Sullivan will lead the search for a mid-season capture who could slot straight into the team.
They allowed big-money flop Gianluca Scamacca to leave without a replacement in the summer window.
Football Insider revealed on 21 November that West Ham could come back in for Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike in January after trying to land him in the summer.
Bowen is the club’s top scorer this season with ten goals in all competitions, while summer signing Mohammed Kudus and Tomas Soucek have notched seven strikes each.

West Ham advanced to the last 16 of the Europa League on Thursday (14 December) with a 2-0 win over Freiburg.
The Irons sit ninth in the Premier League ahead of their upcoming clash with Wolves on Sunday (17 December).
In other news, Saudi clubs now want to sign West Ham star in January.
