Sources: Newcastle United plot signings blizzard amid critical development next week
Newcastle United will bolster their tight squad with a number of top-quality signings this summer if they secure European qualification, sources have told Football Insider.
The Magpies have not yet undergone the mega-money squad overhaul some were expecting following their Saudi-backed takeover in 2021.
It is believed targets under the age of 24 will be on the agenda as Eddie Howe looks to add players he can mould to his brand of football.

Newcastle can secure European qualification this month – with victory over Man United in the League Cup final on 26 February clinching a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying round.
However, Howe’s side are well-placed to secure Champions League group-stage football heading into the second half of the Premier League season.
The Magpies are fourth in the top flight and have built a two-point buffer to Tottenham, with a game in hand on the Lilywhites.
Newcastle have dropped points in their last two league games following a suspension to Bruno Guimaraes which has laid bare their lack of squad depth.
Nevertheless, Football Insider revealed on Saturday (11 February) that Ryan Fraser, Matt Ritchie, Jamaal Lascelles and Jamal Lewis will all be put up for sale this summer.
The Tyneside giants are looking to raise funds for three marquee additions, but will also need to replace the quartet with potential European games introduced to an already-crowded schedule.

Newcastle last played continental football more than 10 years ago, reaching the Europa League quarter-final after recording a fifth-place finish in the 2011-12 season.
Howe’s side face off against Liverpool at St James’ Park on Saturday (18 February).
