Sources: Newcastle United working on two more signings after Tino Livramento deal agreed

Newcastle still want two more signings following the capture of Tino Livramento, sources have told Football Insider.

Livramento agreed to join from Southampton in a deal worth up to £40m, and the defender is set for medical after agreeing long-term contract.

But, Newcastle’s summer spree is not over despite Livramento taking their summer spending to more than £130m after the signings of Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes.

The Magpies are now set to use the loan market as they look to operate with financial fair play rules.

Eddie Howe and director of football Dan Ashworth are hopeful of two more captures, one of whom will be a defender with talks underway with potential loan targets.

Those deals are expected to get done before the window shuts at the end of the month.

Newcastle have started to make money from sales as Allan Saint-Maximim has confirmed his departure from St James’ Park following a £30m move to the Saudi Pro League side, Al-Ahli.
