Sources: Nottingham Forest midfielder Arter in advanced talks to join mystery club
Nottingham Forest midfielder Harry Arter is in advanced talks to join a mystery club in the United Arab Emirates, Football Insider understands.
The 32-year-old spent the first half of this season on loan at former club Charlton Athletic, but the spell was cut short and he returned to parent club Forest earlier this month.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that a mystery UAE club have agreed a deal to take Arter on loan and the Republic of Ireland international has flown to the Middle East for talks with the interested party.

The former Bournemouth man is well down the pecking order at Forest.
Steve Cooper is happy to let him move on before the transfer window closes on Monday (31 January).
The Republic of Ireland international has played just 504 minutes of football across a total of seven appearances this term.
Arter‘s City Ground contract is set to expire at the end of next season.
He has played just 14 times for Forest since joining from Bournemouth in 2020.
The midfielder played 256 times for the Cherries across 10 years on the south coast.
He made 69 appearances in the Premier League under Eddie Howe.
Arter made his international debut in 2015, coming on as a substitute for Martin O’Neill’s Ireland side against England.
He has gone on to claim 19 caps with his last appearance coming against Qatar in October 2021.

Arter has made a total of 307 career appearances across England’s top three divisions.
The midfielder has been unable to leapfrog first-choice James Garner and Jack Colback in the pecking order at promotion-chasing Forest.
