Sources: Rangers expecting Scott Wright offer as English clubs swoop
Rangers winger Scott Wright is expected to leave the club in the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed that the 25-year-old is likely to be the subject of interest from English Championship sides – while top-tier Scottish clubs are also circling.
Football Insider revealed on 18 February that Rangers knocked back interest in Wright in the January window.
Michael Beale was unwilling to part with the winger as he was considered a key part of his squad – but his future will be re-assessed in the off-season.
Wright has turned out 31 times across all competitions for the Ibrox club this season – but has managed less than 1,000 minutes of first-team action, notching two assists.
The former Aberdeen star has started just eight times in the 2022-23 campaign.
He has turned out 81 times since joining Rangers in 2021 – notching eight goals and seven assists.
The 25-year-old, who cost the Gers a reported fee of £200,000, has now failed to nail down a regular starting berth under three managers.
Wright is now expected to leave Ibrox in the summer window despite having two years left to run on his contract.
Rangers are plotting their transfer business for the off-season as manager Beale vies to close the gap on Old Firm rivals Celtic.
The Gers are nine points adrift of their bitter foes after playing 30 games each.

Football Insider revealed last week (28 March) that Rangers still haven’t offered Alfredo Morelos a new contract as he inches closer to an exit.
The likes of Ryan Kent, Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield are all also out of contract at the end of May.
In other news, expert claims midfield star could quit Rangers for “big” fee after source’s reveal.
