Sources: Rangers working on deadline-busting Kai Kennedy and Josh McPake deals
Rangers are pushing to offload Kai Kennedy and Josh McPake before Tuesday’s transfer deadline, sources have told Football Insider.
Winger Kennedy and forward McPake have both been deemed surplus to requirements at Ibrox and Rangers are working to find them new homes before the transfer window slams shut.
Kennedy, who is currently on loan at Falkirk, has attracted interest from several USL clubs, including Tampa Bay Mutiny and Memphis 901.

McPake is on loan at Queen’s Park and is a target for a number of Scottish Championship, English National League and Northern Ireland Premiership clubs.
Rangers are keen to offload the duo to save on their wages and trim their squad as they don’t figure in Michael Beale’s plans.
Both Kennedy and McPake joined the Rangers academy in their youth, with Kennedy joining the club back in 2009.
He spent 10 years working his way through the academy before being handed a professional contract by the club in 2019.
Kennedy made his Rangers debut a year later in a Scottish Cup tie against Stranraer, but failed to ever make a league appearance for the club.
McPake also spent his entire youth working his way through the Rangers academy and graduated at the same as Kennedy after winning the Academy Player of the Year award for the 2018/19 season.

But both players failed to ever nail down a spot in the first team and endured a number of frustrating loan spells while waiting for an opportunity at Ibrox.
Kennedy spent time at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Raith Rovers, Dunfermline Athletic, Hamilton Academical and Falkirk, while McPake was sent out to Dundee, Greenock Morton, Harrogate Town, Morecambe, Tranmere Rovers and Queen’s Park.
