Sources: Said Benrahma wants to quit West Ham

Said Benrahma is ready to quit West Ham in the upcoming January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The 28-year-old is open to leaving the Hammers next month in pursuit of regular first-team football after falling down the pecking order at the London Stadium.

It is understood that multiple French clubs have shown interest in signing Benrahma as well as several teams in the Saudi Pro League.

West Ham

As revealed by Football Insider on Friday (29 December), Benrahma is expected to leave West Ham in January due to the arrival of Mohammed Kudus.

West Ham are open to offers for the former Brentford star in order to raise funds for their own transfer budget.

Kudus has hit the ground running in London following his £38million move from Dutch side Ajax in the summer.

The Ghana international has scored 13 goals and registered two assists in 27 appearances across all competitions for the Irons.

With Jarrod Bowen also in form with 13 goals this season and Lucas Paqueta adapting to a wide role of his own, Benrahma has lost his place in West Ham’s starting lineup.

As a result, the Algerian has played just 542 minutes of Premier League football in 2023/24 and has failed to score in all competitions this season.

Despite being a key member of David Moyes’ side in the 2022/23 season with 12 goals in 52 appearances, Benrahma has quickly fallen out of favour with the Hammers.
