Sources: Saudi clubs now want to sign Pablo Fornals in January

West Ham ace Pablo Fornals is being monitored by Premier League, Spanish and Saudi Pro League sides ahead of the January window, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (4 December) that there is a real potential for Fornals, 27, to leave the Irons in the new year.

The Spain international is out of contract at the end of the 2023-24 campaign, meaning the January window could be one of the last chances to cash in on the midfielder.

West Ham

It is believed Fornals will not be short of potential takers despite his lack of action so far this season.

West Ham could now sell the ex-Villarreal star to raise funds for other signings in January.

As revealed by Football Insider last week (28 November), David Moyes’ side want a left-back and striker in the winter transfer window.

Fornals has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season – starting in just six of those outings.

He is yet to score or assist this term and has started just one Premier League game in the 2023-24 season – the opening day draw with Bournemouth.

The 27-year-old, who joined in a reported £24million deal four years ago, has racked up 194 total games for the club – scoring 23 goals and contributing 19 assists.

He was a key part of the West Ham side that lifted the Europa Conference League last season, making 50 appearances across all competitions last season and notching seven goals and two assists.

Fornals has proved a versatile option for West Ham, starring in various midfield roles and on both flanks for Moyes’ side.

The Irons sit ninth in the Premier League table ahead of their next clash against Tottenham on Thursday (7 December).
