Sources: Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town and Barnsley race to sign Millenic Alli
Huddersfield, Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley are tracking Halifax Town attacker Millenic Alli, sources have told Football Insider.
Alli, 23, has been earning rave reviews at National League Halifax with a string of impressive performances.
He enhanced his reputation further with two goals and a man-of-the-match performance against promotion hopefuls Wrexham.
Scouts from a number of clubs, including Huddersfield, Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley, are understood to have watched Alli in action against Wrexham as they weigh up moves for the winger.
Alli, who was born in Nigeria but brought up in the Republic of Ireland, is also understood to be on the radar for senior Irish selectors after impressing in recent weeks.
He joined Halifax in July 2022 and has scored seven goals across 27 league appearances in the fifth tier.
Alli signed a two-year contract at the club after making the step up from National League North side Chorley FC.
The 23-year-old can play across a three-pronged attack and has split the majority of his appearances this season between the left and right flank.
Huddersfield are fighting to stay in the Championship under veteran boss Neil Warnock, lifting themselves out of the drop zone with a win over Watford on Friday (7 April).

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday are locked in a tight three-way battle with Ipswich and Plymouth for promotion from League One.
Barnsley occupy a League One playoff place with seven games to play in the third tier.
