Sources: This is when Ben White could join Everton amid £20m Arsenal development
Everton may be able to sign Ben White from Arsenal for a fee of around £20-£25million next summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The right-back, 28, has made just five Premier League appearances this season, but Arsenal are set to stand in the way of an exit this month, as they don’t want to weaken their group while competing for trophies on all fronts.
Football Insider revealed on Sunday that Everton are eyeing a move for White, but sources have now outlined that a deal is more likely to take place in the summer than in January.
The prospect of White leaving Arsenal in the next few weeks has been labelled as “unlikely,” but with just two years remaining on his contract when the summer comes around, he could then be available for a cut-price fee.

Ben White is a victim of Jurrien Timber success at Arsenal
Jurrien Timber has been crucial for Arsenal in their march to the top of the Premier League table in the first half of the campaign, but his form has also contributed heavily to White’s demise.
The Dutchman’s displays have gone from strength to strength over the last 18 months, but that has in turn resulted in White’s minutes dropping off a cliff.
The former Brighton man turned out 51 times for the Gunners in all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign, but he has managed just 13 games so far in 2025-26.
White has fallen to the periphery of Mikel Arteta’s group in North London and hasn’t started a game since the 3-0 win away at Club Brugge in the Champions League on 10 December.
There are no signs of Timber losing the right-back shirt any time soon, as he has failed to start in just three league games so far this term.

As a result, a move elsewhere would perhaps have been viewed as the best course of action by White and his representatives in the coming weeks, but Arsenal are prepared to stand in the way of that possibility.
Everton have clear Jayden Bogle indication
Football Insider recently revealed that Jayden Bogle has no interest in leaving Leeds United, amid interest from Everton in the January window.
The Toffees are desperately trying to address their main problem position on the right side of their defence, but with deals for White and Bogle now seemingly off before they had even truly begun, it is looking difficult for David Moyes and Co. at the moment.
Everton have operated with either Jake O’Brien or James Garner at right-back for much of their campaign so far, but neither are an ideal solution, considering they typically play at centre-back and centre-midfield respectively.
With Arsenal’s stance on a sale of White unwavering, Moyes will have to turn his attention elsewhere if he is to get the signing that he craves.
