Sources: Tottenham expecting Richarlison ‘offer’ from two destinations

Tottenham will be hoping for offers from Saudi Arabia or Brazil for Richarlison as they look to offload him in the upcoming transfer windows.

With Tottenham firmly in the market for a striker in January, plans are underway to sell some of their unwanted frontmen to fund prospective moves.

Sources told Football Insider that Richarlison is surplus to requirements at Spurs and could be the cash cow in their bid to acquire superior attacking talent.

Richarlison has been linked with a move to the MLS, following former teammate Son Heung-Min‘s path, yet other leagues are also expected to be in the running to tempt the forward away from north London.

Tottenham must make decision soon on Richarlison as Saudi Arabia and Brazil beckon

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the Lilywhites are certainly open to selling the Brazilian.

Former Man United senior scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider on 13 October that the time has come for Richarlison to leave Tottenham after four seasons at the club.

Speaking on the Inside Track podcast over Spurs’ next steps with the 28-year-old, I explained: Richarlison’s under contract until 2027 so going into next season he will be going into the final year of his contract.

“Spurs will have to make a decision on him sooner rather later what they plan to do.

“Will they offer him a new contract or will they be open to offers for him?

“There’s been constant talk of a potential move to the Saudi Pro League, I’m sure there’ll be interest and offers from there, and for him from his native Brazil as well, so, if Spurs decide to make him available I’m sure he won’t be short of takers either.”

New striker and Takefusa Kubo top of Tottenham’s agenda in January

As mentioned, along with acquiring a potent goalscorer, the Lilywhites are eyeing up a further attacking addition out wide in January.

Sources told Football Insider that Tottenham are monitoring Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo.

The former Real Madrid starlet is in his fourth season in the north of Spain, yet the absence of European football could tempt him away from La Liga.

Kubo would be open to a Premier League move and, with Thomas Frank in need of a new winger, could be the ideal man for Spurs.
