Sources: Tottenham make Guglielmo Vicario transfer plan as fan reactions cited
Tottenham will not look to sell Guglielmo Vicario in January, even after his embarrassing mistakes against Fulham on 29 November.
Concerns from Spurs over Vicario stretch all the way back to last season, when the keeper was found out on multiple occasions under Ange Postecoglou.
Fast forward to the 2025-26 campaign and the same issues remain in net, with Tottenham fans unimpressed with Vicario for his display against Man United on 8 November.
However, Vicario’s blunder against Fulham tops the lot, raising suspicions that Thomas Frank is unhappy with the shot stopper’s consistent mistakes.

Vicario number one for now as January transfer window rapidly approaches
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the Lilywhites will continue to keep the faith in the Italian in spite of his recent mishaps.
His ridiculous clearance, that teed up Harry Wilson in the Cottagers’ 2-1 win over Spurs, released a chorus of boos from the home crowd who were incandescent with the keeper.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast over where the north London outfit stand with Vicario, I explained: “I don’t see a move in January, no chance of that.

“He’s obviously Tottenham’s number one keeper. Tottenham won’t want to lose him midway through the season as well.
“In the summer, that remains to be seen if there’s other goalkeepers out there available that Tottenham could bring in to become number one, then something could happen with Vicario.
“But look, right now obviously he got a bit of flak from the fans after that mistake against Fulham. He held his hands up, he knew it was a mistake.

“But, for me, I think he’s been a solid enough goalkeeper for Tottenham. He’s a very good shot stopper.
“There’s probably a few question marks over him from crosses and set-pieces, corners, long throws, etc.
“I don’t think Tottenham want to be chopping and changing their goalkeeper mid-way through the season. So, I would expect him to remain at the club until the summer.”
Thomas Frank remains under intense pressure at Tottenham amid fan discontent
Whilst supporters will be concerned over the Italy international’s shakiness in between the sticks, greater worries will be over their inconsistent manager.

Former Man United senior scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Frank broke the “golden rule” when he hit out at fans in the defeat to Fulham.
The Dane has struggled to bring the best out of the Lilywhites and condoned the reaction from the supporters in their loss to the Cottagers, infuriating fans.
Although sacking Frank may not solve Tottenham’s problems, the ex-Brentford boss is certainly walking on thin ice in north London ahead of a crunch winter period.
