Sources: Tottenham open sporting director talks – Daniel Levy wants deal done soon

Tottenham have opened talks with multiple candidates to fill the vacant sporting director role, sources have told Football Insider.

The north London club have contacted multiple directors to replace Fabio Paratici after the Italian resigned from the position following his 30-month ban.

Paratici was in the role for two years after joining Tottenham in 2021 and played a large part in bringing Antonio Conte to the club as manager.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is desperate to appoint a new director as soon as possible so that they can contribute to the club’s summer activity.

It is understood that Tottenham have held talks with Brentford technical director Lee Dykes over the role after being impressed by his work with the Bees in recent years.

Dykes was promoted to technical director in June 2022 after spending three years as the club’s head of recruitment.

Levy was drawn to Dykes because of his impressive transfer business at Brentford, with stars such as Ivan Toney, Mikkel Damsgard and Bryan Mbeumo all signingsfor the club under his stewardship.

Tottenham have also held talks with Joahnnes Spors, who in 2022 became the Global Sporting Director at 777 Partners.

As part of his role, the 40-year-old represents Genoa, Standard Liege, Red Star FC, Vasco da Gama and Melbourne.
