Sources: Tottenham plotting to sign 'freak' Evan Ferguson
Tottenham are among the Premier League giants interested in signing Brighton sensation Evan Ferguson, sources have told Football Insider.
This site revealed on Saturday (25 March) that Man United are also in the hunt to sign the 18-year-old this summer.
It is believed that Chelsea are also monitoring Ferguson’s situation as he continues to turn heads in the English top flight.
The Republic of Ireland international made his first senior start for his country on Wednesday (22 March) and scored his first goal in their 3-2 win over Latvia.
That is just the latest milestone in his breakthrough season as a professional, during which he has netted seven goals in 20 Brighton appearances.
As quoted by the Irish Mirror (22 March), Brighton and Ireland teammate Andrew Moran described Ferguson as a “freak” and insisted the youngster is “so good [it’s] a “joke”.

The striker signed his first professional contract with the Seagulls on his 18th birthday in October 2022 – putting pen to paper on a four-year contract.
He became Brighton’s fifth youngest-ever player when he made his debut against Cardiff in the League Cup in 2021.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are firmly in the race for European qualification this season.
The Seagulls are level on points with sixth-place Liverpool with a game in hand on the Reds – and are just seven points adrift of a Champions League place.
Tottenham are currently without a permanent manager but currently occupy fourth place in the Premier League.
Man United, who have scouted Ferguson regularly this season, sit third in the top flight – while 10th-place Chelsea are well outside the race for European qualification.
