Sources: Tottenham privately issue £50m+ Rodrigo Bentancur vow
Tottenham value Rodrigo Bentancur at more than £50million following his first year at the club, sources have told Football Insider.
The midfielder, 25, joined from Juventus in January for £16m + £5m of add-ons.
It has proved to be an outstanding deal for Spurs, with Bentancur now firmly established as one of the team’s star players.

He has taken his game to new heights in recent months and club chiefs are now convinced his valuation is in excess of the £50m bracket.
Many Spurs supporters believe Bentancur has been the team’s outstanding player so far this season, achieving a level above even star man Harry Kane.
The midfielder was the hero against Leeds United on Saturday (12 November) scoring twice in three minutes at the end of the game to secure a 4-3 win.
Before this season, Bentancur had never scored more than two goals across a full campaign.
However, after 14 league appearances this term, 13 of them starts, he already has four goals as well as two assists.
Bentancur was also favoured by Antonio Conte in the Champions League, starting all six of Spurs’ group games, completing the full 90 minutes on three occasions.
On 3 November, Tottenham expert and Football Insider pundit John Wenham claimed Bentancur is now a player who can be considered world-class.

Bentancur will now display his talent for Uruguay at the 2022 World Cup.
Uruguay’s first game of the tournament is against South Korea on 24 November, where Bentancur may face off against Spurs teammate Heung-Min Son.
