Sources: Tottenham ready to accept £20m Hojbjerg offer as replacement lined up
Tottenham have told Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg that he is free to leave in January if they can first secure a replacement, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed that there is interest from Serie A clubs in Hojbjerg, who is eager to move to a side where he can earn regular minutes.
Spurs are in the market for a new central midfielder this winter and the Dane’s hopes of a move would depend on if the club can get a deal done.

A well-placed source told Football Insider that Tottenham want either a permanent sale for him or a loan with an obligation to buy and have set an asking price of around £20million.
The 28-year-old remains a key squad player in north London but has made just three Premier League starts this term since Ange Postecoglou took the reins.
He has featured in all but one league game this season but has been used from the bench by Postecoglou 13 times.
Spurs are eager to bolster their midfield, but as revealed by Football Insider (21 December), they are not hopeful of a deal for Conor Gallagher with Chelsea likely to block any potential move to their bitter rivals.
Hojbjerg has been a mainstay at Tottenham since his £15million move from Southampton in the summer of 2020, notching 10 goals and 16 assists in 162 appearances.

Spurs are also in the market for a new centre-back in January, with their list of targets including Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly, Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo and Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo.
Tottenham sit fifth in the Premier League and just six points behind league leaders Arsenal and next face Everton at home on Saturday afternoon (23 December).
