Sources: Tottenham star Bryan Gil in talks to join new club as permanent move possible

Sevilla are in talks to sign Tottenham star Bryan Gil on a loan-to-buy deal, sources have told Football Insider.

The Londoners are willing to let the winger, 21, go after completing the shock capture of Arnaut Danjuma, 25, earlier this week.

Sevilla have admitted their interest in Gil and their manager Jorge Sampaoli has personally spoken to him about a move.

Tottenham are overloaded with attacking players following Danjuma’s arrival and are discussing a loan with the possibility of a buy option.

Antonio Conte is not convinced about the player’s capability to play in the Premier League despite using him earlier this month when injuries struck.

Gil has made 10 appearances across all competitions this season, assisting once.

The Spain Under-21 international is yet to score for the club in 30 appearances since joining from Sevilla for a reported fee of £21.6million.

He could now be set to return to his old club – where he scored two goals and registered two assists in 21 appearances.

Gil went out on loan to Valencia for the second half of last season but managed just one assist in 17 outings.

New signing Danjuma has been much more prolific in his career – and notched 22 goals and four assists in his 51 appearances for Villarreal.

Mega-money summer acquisition Richarlison is also waiting in the Tottenham wings after failing to make an impact on the starting eleven so far this season.

Spurs sit fifth in the Premier League, three points adrift of fourth-place Man United having played a game more.
