Sources: Two more senior Tottenham stars set to go after Hojbjerg

Joe Rodon and Davinson Sanchez are likely to quit Tottenham this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Spurs are set to lose more first teamers this summer following Clement Lenglet’s return to Barcelona and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s potential move to Atletico Madrid.

Rodon spent last season on loan with French side Rennes and his contract with Spurs is set to expire in 2025 whilst Sanchez has entered the final year of his deal with the London club.

On Friday (4 August), Football Insider revealed that Hojbjerg is closing in on a switch to La Liga and could be gone by the end of the window.

The 27-year-old’s potential departure will comes as a surprise to some given his role as a favourite under previous Spurs bosses.

The Denmark international joined the Lilywhites from Southampton in 2020 and has racked up 145 appearances since his arrival, notching ten goals and 16 assists.

The midfielder’s contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium nets him a reported wage of £100,000-per-week and is set to expire in 2025.

Ange Postecoglou has already added cover in midfield with James Maddison joining from Leicester City but is still struggling for depth given Rodrigo Bentancur’s knee injury which is likely to keep him on the sidelines at least until the end of August.

Youngsters Oliver Skipp and Pape Matar Sarr are set for a big role under Postecoglou next term.

Skipp made 18 Premier League starts for Spurs in the 2022-23 season whilst Sarr was in the starting lineup for two of Tottenham’s top flight matches last term.
