Sources: Tyler Roberts undergoing Birmingham City medical today after Leeds accept bid

Tyler Roberts is putting the finishing touches on his move from Leeds United to Birmingham City on Wednesday (21 June), sources have told Football Insider.

The Wales international, 24, is undergoing a medical with the Blues as an announcement draws closer.

Roberts has agreed a four-year deal with Birmingham – who will pay Leeds an initial six-figure fee which will be supplemented by add-ons.

The winger had just one year remaining on his Elland Road deal and the Yorkshire side have chosen to cash in.

Roberts spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Championship strugglers Queens Park Rangers while his parent club were relegated from the Premier League.

He made 20 appearances across all competitions for the R’s, notching four goals – but saw his season cut short due to injury in January.

Roberts, who predominantly plays on the right flank but can also feature as a striker and in attacking midfield, cost Leeds a reported £2.5million in 2019.

He went on to make 108 appearances for the Whites, notching nine goals and ten assists.

The winger helped them to promotion in 2020 and featured 51 times in the Premier League, registering two goals and three assists.

Roberts has amassed 20 caps for Wales but missed out on a place in their 2022 World Cup squad due to injury.

Birmingham City have already released right-winger Jordan Graham upon the end of his contract with the club.

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on 15 June that Blues star Tahith Chong is attracting interest from Luton Town following their promotion to the Premier League.
