Aston Villa could offload full-back duo Lucas Digne and Matty Cash this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Those with knowledge of the situation have revealed that the senior duo have failed to convince manager Unai Emery since his arrival last year (2022) - and their futures are now up in the air going into the off-season.

Cash, 25, and Digne, 29, were previously first-choice under Emery but have lost their places in the side - which has coincided with a stunning win streak.

Aston Villa have picked up 19 points from a possible 21 in their last seven games to launch themselves into the fight for European football.

It is believed that multiple Aston Villa stars will make way in the summer window as new signings come in.

Cash and Digne could be two potential casualties of Villa's transfer business in Emery's first summer window at the club.

However, Digne's reported £160,000-a-week wage could make it hard for the Midlands club to find a buyer.

Meanwhile, Cash earns a reported £80,000-a-week at the club.

Left-back Alex Moreno, 29, joined Aston Villa in January and has since replaced Digne in the starting lineup - consigning the Frenchman to just six minutes of action in the last five games.

Veteran Ashley Young has impressed in the side since replacing injured Cash last month.
