Sources: Update on Casemiro quitting Man United
Man United have had a mixed start to the season so far on the pitch, but there is a renewed focus on plans for the January transfer window.
Speculation has emerged about a number of Ruben Amorim‘s star players, including the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro.
Man United are not planning to let Mainoo and Fernandes leave mid-way through the season, and they are extremely reluctant to entertain offers.
Instead, it is the Brazil midfielder whose position has been subject to scrutiny after Casemiro was sent off during Man United’s 2-1 win against Chelsea, and has since been branded “selfish”.
With interest growing in his signature ahead of the January transfer window and next summer, there will soon be a decision for United to make.

Casemiro is attracting Saudi Pro League interest
Speculation during the summer hinted we could soon see Casemiro reunited with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr as interest from the Saudi Pro League lingers.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Casemiro will receive offers both from the Middle East and his native Brazil if he does not commit his future to United, and is preparing to listen to proposals.
This comes after Casemiro was widely expected to leave Man United during the summer amid frustrations with his performances and the lofty wage he collects.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “I think if they were to give him a new contract, does seem it would be on reduced wages.
“He is among the highest earners at Man United and United are obviously looking to trim their wage bill after overspending in recent years.
“Casemiro, he’s in a strong position here. If he doesn’t agree a new contract at United or he doesn’t feel the terms on offer are good enough, he won’t be short of offers.

“There’s been long-term Saudi Pro League interest in him. I’m sure that won’t go away, and there’s even talk that there could be interest from his native Brazil as well.
“So look, if no fresh terms are agreed between Casemiro and United it will definitely attract interest from other clubs.”
The midfielder has worked his way back in under Amorim, having started five of their Premier League games so far this season, forcing them to make a decision about the growing interest.
Casemiro contract update emerges at Man United
Football Insider revealed on 18 October that Casemiro is in line for a new deal at Man United, despite it having looked “unthinkable” a year ago.
The midfielder’s £375,000 weekly wage has been a major source of criticism, and any new deal would have to see him take a substantial pay cut.
This comes after football finance expert Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Man United will not activate Casemiro’s extension clause, but may aim to reach a new agreement

The likes of Fernandes, Casemiro, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw are all set to see their contracts expire in the next two seasons, leading to concerns behind the scenes.
As a result, efforts are now being made to keep hold of some of their most important players, with Amorim leading the push for new deals to be agreed.
