Sources: West Brom make Ryan Mason sack decision
Ryan Mason is facing increasing calls for his sack at West Brom after a dismal run of form which has seen them drop down the Championship table.
West Brom lost 1-0 to Charlton last time out, as Sonny Carey grabbed a 95th-minute winner at The Valley, and have now won just two of their last 10 league games.
Mason was appointed by West Brom in June after a long process which ended with the former Tottenham midfielder taking his first steps into senior management.
The 33-year-old cut his teeth as a coach under the likes of Antonio Conte and Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham, but has not had the desired start to his managerial career.
West Brom have dropped to 15th in the Championship table despite having enjoyed a strong start, and the fans are beginning to grow impatient.

West Brom make Ryan Mason sack decision
Football Insider revealed in June that Harry Kane convinced Mason to join West Brom, but after just 14 league games, questions are being asked about his position.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, West Brom have no plans to sack Mason as things stand and are determined not to rush into a knee-jerk decision over his long-term future at The Hawthorns.
Given that the manager is still in the early stages of his career, the Baggies are keen to give him time to develop and turn their difficult situation around.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “Like we always say, results will dictate, but I think there will be a bit of patience from West Brom with regard to Ryan Mason.
“I don’t expect any knee-jerk reactions of sacking him or anything like that. They started the season well with three wins and a draw in their opening four games.
“Things haven’t gone so well recently, with two wins in their last 10, so there’s going to be bit of scrutiny now on Ryan Mason for the first time in his young managerial career.
“They’re 15th the table, five points off the playoffs. The Championship is such a hard league.
“I don’t think there’ll be any panic at West Brom just yet. They’ve got Oxford coming up next and that’s a big game for them as well.

“They’ll be hoping they can get back to winning ways in that one and then after the international break it’s Coventry and Birmingham so things don’t get any easier for them.
“But yeah, I don’t think there’ll be any sort of panic just yet from West Brom and they’ll be hoping they can get back to winning form when they play Oxford.”
There is still hope that Mason can turn things around at The Hawthorns, but a defeat to Oxford United will only see the pressure on his position grow.
Championship manager merry-go-round well underway
Speculation about Mason’s future has come as a number of Championship clubs are considering making changes to reignite their ambitions for the season.
Southampton parted ways with Will Still last week and are assessing potential replacements including the likes of Russell Martin and current interim boss Tonda Eckert.
Both Watford and Sheffield United have also pulled the trigger this season, opting to make early changes as their situations quickly became concerning.

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on 19 October that Norwich are considering sacking Liam Manning as a result of their dreadful start to the season.
Marti Cifuentes has also come under pressure at Leicester, with big decisions to be made at a number of clubs with ambitions of reaching the playoffs come May.
