West Ham want to sell Manuel Lanzini this summer and replace him with Mislavic Orsic, Football Insider understands.
The Hammers are planning for life without their Argentine playmaker after he slipped down the pecking order this season.
A West Ham source has told Football Insider the club are aware Lanzini is keen to go and are looking at potential replacements.
Orsic, 28, has emerged as a top target and this site revealed last month how the Irons have made contact with Zagreb over a potential summer deal.
This came after the Croatia international caught the eye of their talent-spotters with a devastating hat-trick to eliminate Tottenham from the Europa League.
West Ham believe Orsic can provide cutting edge to their side from the left flank.
He could be the perfect replacement for Lanzini, who often operates on the left as well as in a central playmaking role, and will be sold this summer if their asking price is met.
He has two years remaining on his contract, although the club have the option to extend that for a further two years until 2025.
West Ham will face competition from rival clubs across Europe, including in the Premier League, for Orsic.
Arsenal have also been in touch with Dinamo to ask what it would take to sign the eight-times international in the summer.
Orsic has scored 53 goals in 123 games since joining Dinamo in 2018 from South Korean club Ulsan Hyundai.
He has been especially effective this campaign, scoring 19 goals and supplying eight assists from 36 matches in all competitions.
