Sources: West Ham tell Manuel Lanzini to find new club
West Ham are open to offers for Manuel Lanzini before Thursday’s transfer cut-off, sources have told Football Insider.
The Irons are ready to let the 29-year-old playmaker go following the club-record signing of Lucas Paqueta from Lyon.
Lanzini has been told he is free to find a new club, either on loan or on a permanent deal, ahead of the deadline.
The attacking midfielder started in the Hammers’ first game of the new Premier League season but was hooked just before the hour mark.
He then made substitute appearances in his side’s next two games before failing to make it onto the pitch in Sunday’s (28 August) 1-0 win over Aston Villa.
The Argentine was a regular in West Ham’s Premier League side last season, making 30 appearances with 19 of those being starts.
Lanzini arrived at West Ham initially on loan from Al Jazira in July 2015.
After impressing during his first months in East London, the move was made permanent in March 2016.
He has gone on to make 208 appearances for the club and has 29 goals to his name.
On Monday (29 August), Paqueta, 25, arrived at West Ham for what the club described as a “record fee”.
He became the Irons’ eighth senior signing of the summer.

West Ham are next in action against Tottenham on Wednesday (31 August).
They are looking to record back-to-back victories after failing to win in their opening three games of the season.
