Sources: Wolves forward Samuels agrees to join Inverness
Wolves forward Austin Samuels is set to join Inverness Caledonian Thistle on loan, Football Insider understands.
The Premier League club are willing to loan out the 21-year-old for the second half of the season.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Wolves have now reached an agreement with Scottish Championship side Inverness over a temporary deal for the striker.
Samuels spent the first half of the season on loan at Aberdeen, but he only made three starts for the club as well as four substitute appearances and did not find the net.
He is out of contract at Wolves at the end of the current campaign but is yet to make his senior bow for the club.
The former England youth international last featured for the Dons at the beginning of December last year (2021) before his loan was cut short.
Samuels operated out wide for Stephen Glass’ side but was a prolific centre-forward for Wolves’ youth teams.
He has found the net 13 times in 46 games for the Under-23s and 18 times in 38 appearances for the Under-18s.
The closest he came to making his full debut for his boyhood club was when he was named on the bench for a Carabao Cup tie with Aston Villa in October 2019.

He will now swap the Scottish Premiership for the Championship as Inverness chase promotion to the top-tier.
Billy Dodds’ side currently sit in second and have a game in hand over leaders Arbroath.
