Sources: Wolves in last-gasp race with Fulham to sign Armando Broja after Chelsea U-turn – new conditions revealed

Wolves are rivalling Fulham in the late-window race to land Chelsea star Armando Broja, sources have told Football Insider.

The Premier League bottom-half rivals are set to go head-to-head for the 22-year-old’s signature before the 11pm deadline on Thursday (1 February).

It is believed Chelsea are now open to loan offers for Broja in a U-turn on their original stance on the Albania international’s future.

Football Insider previously revealed (22 January) that Chelsea want around £50million for the ex-Southampton loanee.

West Ham had previously held an interest in the forward but baulked at the Blues’ valuation.

But sources now say the Stamford Bridge club are now willing to loan the striker out again – but want any deal to include an option or obligation clause.

Broja has hit two goals and contributed two assists in 19 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign.

He has started in just eight of those outings, with Nicolas Jackson and now Christopher Nkunku often preferred in attack by Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The 22-year-old, who missed most of the 2022-23 campaign with a serious knee injury, is under contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2028.

Wolves

Wolves and Fulham have both been scouring the market for striker reinforcements throughout the January window.

Gary O’Neil’s side sit 11th in the table, while Marco Silva’s Cottagers are in 12th.
