Wolves are plotting a raid for Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The USA international, 23, had a fine debut campaign at Craven Cottage after joining from Wigan Athletic last August.

A Wolves source has told Football Insider that the club are planning to test Fulham’s resolve to hang on to Robinson following their Premier League relegation.

The left-sided defender is valued at the £10million mark by the Cottagers.

Robinson moved to Fulham from cash-strapped Wigan Athletic last summer for just £2million.

He played 28 times in the Premier League last term as the London outfit suffered immediate relegation back to the Championship.

The left-back spent last season on loan at Molineux and Wolves have negotiated a deal for less than half of the £20million option agreed last season.

He played 21 times in the Premier League last term and shared the role with Marcal.

Robinson would offer a younger alternative for new manager Bruno Lage.

The 12-time USA international is a graduate of Everton's academy but never made a senior appearance for the club.

He joined Wigan permanently in 2019 after a successful loan spell in the previous campaign and made 65 appearances across all competitions.

Robinson was set to sign for Italian giants AC Milan in January 2020 before a heart issue was highlighted in his medical.
