Wolves have reached an agreement in principle over the permanent signing of Rayan Ait-Nouri from Angers, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The left-back, 20, spent last season on a season-long loan at Molineux following his 4th October arrival.

A Wolves source has told Football Insider that the club have negotiated the full-time capture of Ait-Nouri for less than half of the £20million option agreed last season.

The Premier League outfit will instead pay French club Angers £10m for the France Under-21 international.

He has agreed personal terms with Wolves and the transfer is expected to be completed this week.

Ait-Nouri is contracted with Angers until 2023 after signing a two-year extension in May last year.

He featured 21 times in the Premier League last term as Wolves finished in 13th place.

The Frenchman scored his first goal for the club on his league debut against Crystal Palace in October last year.

It could be a summer of upheaval for Wolves in terms of their defensive roster.

Colombian centre-back Yerson Mosquera, 20, became their first signing of the summer when he joined for £4.5m on 17th June.
