Kane had an off day
It had to happen at some point and today Harry Kane struggled to stamp his authority on the game.
The striker had a rare but frustrating evening as he did not see much of the ball offensively which most likely had more to do with Pochettino’s midfield pairing of Dier and Sissoko.
However, whenever the forward did have a sniff at goal, rather than picking his spot, Kane snatched at the ball and gave the West Ham backline an opportunity to clear.
Spurs showed the occasional sign that they would take all three points from the Hammers but there was a sense that this would end a frustrating evening at Wembley for Tottenham, and so it proved.
